The 2024 Spring Technical Meeting of the Eastern States Section of The Combustion Institute will be held March 10-13 in Athens, Georgia hosted by the University of Georgia.

Bringing together experts from industry, national laboratories, and academia in the field of combustion science and engineering to address current challenges related to sustainable transportation, energy efficiency, emissions mitigation in the atmosphere, fire safety, and advanced propulsion systems by dissemination of state-of-the-art research. The event will consist of an opening reception, plenary seminars, technical talks, and a banquet event. Attendance at the 2024 Spring Technical Meeting of the Eastern States Section of The Combustion Institute shall be governed by the Code of Conduct found on the ESSCI event website.

The University of Georgia, established in 1785, is a public land-grant and sea-grant university and is the oldest state-chartered institution in the United States currently enrolling more than 40,000 students across 19 Schools and Colleges.

Athens is culture-rich college town with a strong economic center, consistently ranked near the top of the list of best college towns in America, and is approximately one hour from the state capital, Atlanta. Athens is home to a world-renowned music scene, annual music festival (AthFest), distinctive local restaurants and shops, a bustling Victorian-era downtown, historic neighborhoods, a thriving arts and culture scene, and a plethora of nearby outdoor recreation options.
